Goulds API and industrial process pumps
A refinery or petrochemical plant running a Goulds 3600 or 3700 API pump rarely swaps it for another brand once the original design is proven, since spare parts, wear-ring fits and impeller options are built around the existing pump's interchangeability. ITT Goulds Pumps, an American manufacturer under ITT Industrial Process, supplies API 610 process pumps alongside the widely fitted 3196 ANSI line and PRO Services aftermarket support. UAE buyers typically source Goulds pumps and spares through regional distributors rather than direct import.

ITT Goulds Pumps has manufactured centrifugal pumps in the United States for more than a century and today operates as part of ITT Industrial Process, a global engineering group serving oil and gas, chemical, mining, power and general industrial markets. The brand is best known for pump families that have kept a largely consistent core hydraulic and mechanical design over long production runs, which means a Goulds pump installed years ago can often still draw on current-production spare parts and interchangeable components.
Goulds pumps are engineered around rugged construction and efficient hydraulics, and the brand backs its equipment with PRO Services, an aftermarket and condition-monitoring offering aimed at keeping process pumps running reliably between planned outages. That combination of a proven mechanical platform and organised aftermarket support is a large part of why Goulds remains a benchmark name for process pumping in demanding industrial and hydrocarbon settings.
The API 610 3600 between-bearings pumps are specified where high heads, high temperatures or heavy-duty hydrocarbon service call for a pump supported on both sides of the impeller, a configuration favoured for critical refinery and petrochemical duties.
The 3700 overhung API pumps cover a broader band of process duties with a simpler, single-bearing-housing arrangement, often chosen where the 3600's between-bearings design is not required by the service conditions.
The 3196 ANSI process pump is one of the most widely fitted process pumps in industry, built to ANSI/ASME dimensional standards so that pumps from different eras and even different manufacturers can share a common baseplate footprint, easing replacement and stocking decisions.
Beyond the API and ANSI ranges, Goulds also supplies vertical and slurry pumps for applications such as sump service, wet-well pumping and handling of abrasive or solids-laden streams, plus PRO Services aftermarket support covering spare parts, repair and monitoring for pumps already in service.
UAE oil and gas, refining and petrochemical operators commonly rely on API 610 pumps for continuous, high-duty hydrocarbon service, where the high heat, humidity and coastal or marine exposure typical of Gulf process sites put a premium on materials and seals that resist corrosion and thermal stress. The 3600 and 3700 ranges fit this demand directly, while the 3196 ANSI pump serves the broader chemical, water treatment and general industrial base that supports those larger hydrocarbon facilities.
Desert and coastal groundwater in the UAE tends to be sulphate- and chloride-rich, which affects material selection for pumps handling produced water, cooling water or process fluids drawn from local sources; buyers typically confirm wetted-part metallurgy against the specific fluid and site conditions before finalising a pump order. Slurry and vertical pump variants see use in construction, dewatering and general industrial handling tied to the UAE's ongoing infrastructure build-out. Buyers evaluating pumps for a hydrocarbon or process application can compare Goulds against other manufacturers in the API process pumps category on ListGCC.
ITT Goulds Pumps and genuine spare parts in the UAE are generally available through authorised distributors and ITT's regional service presence rather than only through general industrial traders. Confirming that a supplier can trace parts and repairs back to ITT's PRO Services network, rather than sourcing look-alike components from unauthorised channels, is a useful check before committing to an order, particularly for wear parts on critical API pumps.
Lead times vary by product: common 3196 ANSI pump models and standard spare parts are often available faster from regional stock, while a specific 3600 or 3700 API configuration engineered to a project's duty point may involve factory quotation, manufacture and testing that extends delivery by weeks or more. Buyers should confirm ESMA / Emirates Conformity documentation where applicable, along with the API 610 edition, materials of construction and seal arrangement specified for the application, before placing an order.
Rather than contacting distributors one at a time, buyers can submit a single enquiry through ListGCC and receive quotes from multiple verified ITT Goulds Pumps suppliers in the UAE, making it simpler to compare pricing, lead time and technical fit for a given pump duty. Verified badges on listed suppliers help engineering and procurement teams shortlist credible dealers before moving into detailed technical discussion.
