This page lists UAE oxygen suppliers and explains grades and supply options, the fire hazards of oxygen, oxygen cleaning rules, the standards that apply as of 2026, and what drives price and delivery.
Ajman Free Zone's 2025 company counts, reported by Oxford Business Group, include 128 chemical companies and 70 in oil and gas, alongside about 800 in construction trades and 96 in automotive. That spread explains the demand: chemicals, lubricants and industrial gases here serve workshops, building trades, textile processors and traders more than large process plants. The steady lines are construction chemicals, industrial lubricants, paints and coatings in the construction sector, gas cylinders and regulators and water treatment chemicals.
Stockists and blenders sit in the Al Jurf industrial areas and Ajman Industrial 1 and 2, with trading offices in the free zone. Electrical and mechanical repair shops in Industrial 1 buy greases, hydraulic oils and cleaning solvents in small drums, so many suppliers pack to workshop size. Textile units in Industrial 2 buy dyes and finishing chemicals, which are specialty lines you may need to source from Sharjah.
Bulk drums and cylinders usually come by road from Sharjah and Dubai ports, with Ajman Port handling smaller consignments. Hazardous goods need correct classification, labelling and a safety data sheet from the supplier. Storage and transport of hazardous materials involve Civil Defence and municipal requirements, so confirm what applies to your premises with the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department and Civil Defence. Do not assume an approval from another emirate carries over.
Ask for the safety data sheet, batch certificate and a cylinder test date for gases before accepting delivery. For lubricants, match the viscosity grade and approval listed by the equipment maker rather than buying by brand. Post one specification through post a requirement and compare quotes on pack size and delivery.
If your use is regular, agree a standing order with a delivery schedule so that a drum or cylinder is never your last one. Return empty cylinders promptly to avoid rental charges, and keep stock sheets that match what the supplier delivered.
Ajman is the smallest emirate, and its industry is compressed into a few districts. Ajman Free Zone sits beside Ajman Port and was created in 1988. Oxford Business Group's 2025 Ajman report puts it at about 867,000 square metres with over 530 warehouses, 7,000 offices and 22 clusters, and counts roughly 9,000 companies. Sector counts in the same report include about 800 construction related traders, over 430 food and beverage firms, 361 in jewellery and 320 in textiles.
Outside the free zone, the Al Jurf industrial areas 1, 2 and 3 lie on the northern border with Umm Al Quwain, and Ajman Industrial 1 and 2 lie near the Sharjah border. The same report describes Industrial 1 as focused on electrical and mechanical repair and Industrial 2 on textiles and ready-to-wear clothing. Inland, Manama and Masfout are mainly farming settlements rather than factory districts.
Ajman Port handles around 1,000 ship calls a year and is a small gateway beside the free zone. Larger container volumes usually come through Sharjah and Dubai ports and arrive by road, because Sharjah surrounds Ajman on three sides. The Free Zone describes easy access to Dubai and Sharjah airports. The Oxford Business Group report mentions a planned deeper water port, so check current berth and draught limits with your forwarder before booking large lots.
Trade and industrial licences come from the Ajman Department of Economic Development. The Free Zones Authority of Ajman oversees Ajman Free Zone and Ajman Media City Free Zone. The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department handles building permits and runs a building material testing laboratory. Civil Defence sign-off appears in the completion process for non-residential buildings. Power and water are supplied by Etihad Water and Electricity. The Ajman Chamber, renamed in July 2024, represents commercial, industrial and agricultural firms.
Construction trades and building material traders are the largest group, followed by food and beverage, textiles, jewellery and automotive. Small workshops buy bearings, tools and spares, and the free zone's technology and robotics hub draws a smaller electronics demand. Oil and gas, mining and heavy process industry are thin in Ajman. Buyers with that need usually source from Abu Dhabi or Sharjah and use Ajman for trading, storage and light fabrication.
