Concrete mixers and batching plants in the UAE include stationary and mobile batching plants, twin-shaft and pan mixers, truck mixers and site mixers used by ready-mix producers, precast factories and contractors. This page lists UAE suppliers and explains plant types, how summer heat sets cooling capacity, the Dubai Municipality certification and safety rules that apply, which brands are carried, and what drives price and lead time.

A batching plant weighs cement, aggregates, water and admixtures to a mix design and mixes them, and a concrete mixer is the drum, pan or twin-shaft unit that does the mixing, from a site drum mixer to a truck mixer. They are the production end of concrete equipment in the UAE, bought by ready-mix producers around Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, precast factories, contractors running central batching units on large sites, and block makers.
The plant type follows output, how long the plant stays in one place, and the space available. The table shows the usual choices.
| Type | Typical UAE use | Key specification points |
|---|---|---|
| Stationary batching plant | Permanent ready-mix and precast plants in industrial areas | Hourly output, mixer size, number of aggregate bins and cement silos, control system |
| Mobile or compact plant | Central batching units on road, utility and remote infrastructure sites | Erection time, transport dimensions, foundation needs, output |
| Twin-shaft mixer | High output ready-mix and mass concrete | Batch volume, mixing time, liner and arm wear parts |
| Planetary or ring-pan mixer | Precast, paving blocks and special mixes | Batch volume, homogeneity for stiff and coloured mixes |
| Truck mixer | Delivering ready-mix from plant to site | Drum volume, chassis, water tank, drum drive |
| Self-loading mobile mixer and site drum mixer | Small and remote pours, villa and maintenance work | Drum volume, loading bucket, on-board weighing |
A plant is only as good as its supply chain. Mixes come from ready-mix concrete producers who buy cement, aggregates and retarding and water-reducing admixtures; aggregates are fed by conveyor belts; and the concrete leaves by truck mixer to concrete pumps and placing booms on site.
UAE batching plants must be built to cool the concrete, not only to mix it: summer heat speeds slump loss and setting, so chilled water, ice and aggregate cooling are sized into the plant from the start, and drums, drives and electrics must run in high ambient temperatures and dust.
ACI 305R-20, the American Concrete Institute's hot weather guide, devotes an appendix to cooling fresh concrete with chilled mixing water, liquid nitrogen, ice and cooled coarse aggregate. For a UAE plant this means sizing water chillers, flake ice plants with ice weighing, insulated water tanks and shaded or sprayed aggregate stockpiles to the peak summer output. Chillers can be bought or hired from chiller suppliers in the UAE.
Cement silos need filters sized for the fill rate from bulk tankers, and aggregate bins and belts need covers in sandy, windy locations. Dubai Municipality's safety guide requires bulk bins and silos to have conical or tapered bottoms with mechanical or pneumatic means of starting the flow. Control cabins and motor control centres should be air-conditioned, because load cells and electronics drift or fail in heat.
Truck mixers need engine and hydraulic cooling suited to stop-start city traffic in summer, a drum that can be washed out at the designated area, and a water tank for cleaning. Dubai rules also require reverse alarms and flashing lights on every truck.
In Dubai, ready-mix plants, precast factories, central batching units and truck mixers are certified by Dubai Municipality's Dubai Central Laboratory, so a new plant has to be designed to pass that factory assessment. Site safety rules come from the municipality's construction safety guide. The table was checked in October 2026.

Many plant specifications still quote EN 12151:2007 for batching and mixing installations, but BSI lists it as withdrawn since December 2018, so ask the maker which standards its declaration of conformity now cites. Outside Dubai, check the emirate's municipality and environmental authority for plant licensing and dust permits. If electrical equipment in the plant falls into a regulated category, our guide to MoIAT product conformity through ECAS and EQM explains the process.
UAE batching plants and truck mixers are sold by authorised dealers of international makers, by the makers' regional offices, and by local fabricators who build mixer bodies, silos and steel structures. Buy a full plant from a dealer that can commission it, calibrate the scales and hold wear parts in the UAE.
Makers carried on ListGCC include Liebherr, whose concrete technology line covers Betomix stationary plants, Mobilmix mobile plants, ring-pan and twin-shaft mixers and truck mixers; MEKA, a Turkish builder of stationary and mobile batching plants and twin-shaft mixers; SANY, which lists batching plants and truck mixers; Zoomlion, with truck mixers and batching plants in its concrete range; and XCMG, majority owner since 2012 of SCHWING-Stetter, whose Stetter side has built truck mixers since 1958 and batching plants since the 1960s.
When comparing offers, ask for cooling capacity at your summer output, silo and bin sizes, control system and batch reporting, the Dubai certification support offered, and local stock of liners, mixing arms and drum parts. Post your batching plant requirement to reach several suppliers, and read how to source industrial suppliers in the UAE. Sibling equipment for the same project includes concrete vibrators.
Batching plant prices in the UAE are driven by output, mixer type, cooling and storage, and lead time by whether the plant is built to order abroad and shipped into Jebel Ali or Khalifa Port. We do not publish prices.
Site drum mixers are usually in stock. Mobile and stationary plants are mostly built to order, so allow for manufacture, shipping, erection and certification before the first production pour.
