Beverage Processing Suppliers, UAE
Beverage processing in the UAE covers the water treatment, bottling, juice, dairy, carbonation and brewing equipment that drinks factories in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern emirates use to make and fill their products. This page compares the main line types, explains the MoIAT regulations for bottled water, juice and dairy that apply as of 2026, and shows how to judge line builders and UAE agents before you buy.

What is beverage processing equipment and what types are there?
Beverage processing equipment treats, mixes, heats, carbonates and fills drinks, from the reverse osmosis plant feeding a water bottling line to the pasteuriser and aseptic filler on a juice or milk line. It is one of six families in the food and beverage processing sector, and UAE buyers usually purchase it as a complete line from one integrator rather than machine by machine.
| Line type | Typical UAE use | Key spec |
|---|---|---|
| Water bottling lines | Small PET bottles, 5 gallon returnable jars, cups for offices, hotels and retail | Bottles per hour per format, treatment train, blow-fill-cap or separate blower |
| Juice processing equipment | Reconstituted juice and nectar from concentrate, fresh juice for hotels and retail | Pasteurisation type, hot fill or aseptic, deaeration |
| Dairy processing equipment | Fresh milk, laban, yoghurt, cheese, UHT milk from camel and cow milk | Milk reception volume, pasteuriser or UHT capacity, separator and homogeniser |
| Carbonation systems | Soft drinks, sparkling water, energy drinks | CO2 volumes, product temperature, CO2 purity |
| Brewing equipment | Non-alcoholic malt beverages and fermented drinks | Brewhouse size, fermentation tank volume, dealcoholisation where needed |
Most lines also need equipment from other families: shrink packers, labellers and coders from food packaging equipment, chilled storage from cold chain equipment, and checkweighers or fill level inspection from food safety and quality equipment.
Which parts of a beverage plant matter most?
Three systems decide product quality and running cost more than the filler: the water treatment plant, the container system and the cleaning system.
- Water treatment. UAE plants usually start from desalinated municipal water or groundwater and treat it with filtration, reverse osmosis, remineralisation and disinfection. Size the water treatment plant for peak summer demand and plan how RO reject water will be disposed of.
- PET bottles. Larger bottlers blow their own bottles from preforms on stretch blow moulders, either as separate machines or combined with the filler and capper. These sit with blow moulding machines under plastic processing machinery. Lighter bottles save resin but need careful handling in hot warehouses, so test top load at your storage temperature.
- Cleaning in place. Juice and dairy lines are cleaned with automated caustic, acid and rinse cycles. A well designed CIP system with recovery tanks and recorded temperatures, flows and times is what the inspector and your customers' auditors will ask to see.
How do Gulf heat, dust and humidity affect beverage processing?
UAE heat raises the load on every cooling system in a drinks plant, and humidity causes condensation on cold-filled bottles, which affects labelling and shrink wrapping. Ask line builders how they handle both.
- Cooling. Carbonation works best at low product temperature, and pasteurisers need cooling sections sized for warm incoming water. Chillers and cooling towers must be rated for summer conditions on your site.
- Condensation. Cold product in humid air sweats; labels may not stick and shrink film can trap moisture. Bottle warmers or dryers between filler and labeller are common in Gulf plants.
- Dust. Open bottle and cap handling needs filtered air over the filler. Specify positive pressure filling rooms or enclosures and filters on cap hoppers.
- Dairy cold chain. Milk and laban leave the plant chilled and travel in summer heat, so filling, palletising and dispatch must be fast and refrigerated.
Which standards and approvals apply in the UAE?
As of 2026, bottled water, juices and beverages, and milk and dairy products are all MoIAT regulated products, so a UAE beverage plant must certify its products, and the packaging touching them, before sale.
| Requirement | Applies to | Authority or reference |
|---|---|---|
| Bottled drinking water conformity | Bottled water plants and imported bottled water | MoIAT, Cabinet Resolution No. 26 of 2013 |
| Bottled drinking water standard | Bottled water other than natural mineral water | GSO 1025:2014 (Gulf technical regulation) |
| Juices and beverages conformity | Juice and beverage products | MoIAT, Cabinet Resolution No. 30 of 2018 |
| Milk and dairy products conformity | Milk and dairy products | MoIAT, Cabinet Resolution No. 29 of 2018 |
| Food contact materials | PET bottles, closures, cartons and cups | MoIAT, Cabinet Resolution No. 20 of 2015 |
| Halal National Mark | Juice and dairy products labelled halal | MoIAT, Cabinet Resolution No. 10 of 2014 |
MoIAT's requirements sheet (July 2022) shows what the factory must produce for a bottled water certificate: a controlled copy of the QMS or HACCP manual, a description of the manufacturing process, the plant equipment layout, a quality control plan, a vicinity map of the factory and test reports from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. That means the line builder's layout and process description become part of your certification file, so ask for them in editable form. For juices and dairy, the sheet asks for an accepted QMS or FSMS certificate, compliance with the food contact material regulation, and a Halal National Mark licence where the label claims halal. Plants in Dubai also need Dubai Municipality layout approval before installing or moving permanent equipment.
What should a UAE beverage line enquiry include?
A beverage line enquiry should give the builder enough to guarantee output and quality on your water, your product and your site. Without it, quotes cannot be compared.
- Products and recipes, with Brix, fat content or carbonation level, and the shelf life you need at retail temperature.
- Container formats: bottle sizes and neck finish, 5 gallon returnable jars (which need a washer and inspection before filling), cartons or cups.
- Output per hour for each format, shifts per day and changeovers per week.
- A raw water analysis, or milk and concentrate specifications, so the treatment and process sections can be sized.
- Site utilities: power at 50 Hz, steam or hot water, chilled water, compressed air and CO2.
- Documents for MoIAT certification: layout, process description and food contact declarations for every wetted part.
Who supplies beverage processing equipment in the UAE?
Complete beverage lines in the UAE are mostly supplied by European line builders through regional offices or agents, while smaller water and juice plants often come from Asian manufacturers. Brands listed on ListGCC include:
- Krones and KHS: blow moulders, fillers, labellers, shrink packers and palletisers.
- Sidel: PET blow moulders and combined blow-fill-cap systems.
- Tetra Pak: processing equipment and aseptic carton filling for milk, laban and juice.
- Sacmi: cap and preform systems, filling and capping, and vision inspection.
- GEA: food processing equipment and complete processing and packaging lines.
Before shortlisting, ask each builder for reference plants in the Gulf with similar water and climate, the location of its nearest service engineers, the spare parts held in the UAE and who commissions and trains your staff. For quotes against one specification, post your requirement.
What drives price and lead time?
Output in bottles or litres per hour, the level of automation, and whether the line is hot fill, cold fill or aseptic drive most of the price. Aseptic filling and UHT treatment cost more than a simple pasteuriser and hot filler, and an integrated blow-fill-cap block costs more up front than separate machines but uses less floor space. Complete lines are built to order, shipped to Jebel Ali or Khalifa Port and then installed and validated on site; certification of the first product under MoIAT follows. Used and refurbished lines shorten delivery but need an inspection of condition and spares availability.
