Concrete mixers and batching plants in Saudi Arabia cover stationary and mobile batching plants, twin-shaft and pan mixers, truck mixers and self-loading mixers for ready-mix, precast and project sites. This page lists Saudi suppliers and explains how to match plant to project, how heat and dust shape the design, the SASO Quality Mark and environmental permits, which brands build the equipment, and what affects cost and delivery.

Concrete batching plants measure and mix cement, aggregates, water and admixtures into concrete, and concrete mixers range from twin-shaft and pan mixers inside a plant to truck mixers and small site mixers. In Saudi Arabia they belong to concrete equipment for Saudi construction and are bought by ready-mix companies in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Makkah, precast and block factories, and contractors setting up on-site plants for giga-projects, highways and industrial cities.
Use the table to match plant type to the project.
| Plant or mixer | Saudi use | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Stationary ready-mix plant | City plants supplying building and infrastructure work | Output per hour, mixer, silo count, aggregate bins, batch control |
| Mobile batching plant | Remote sites such as highways, NEOM and Red Sea area projects, utility corridors | Transport size, set-up time, generator or grid power, output |
| Twin-shaft mixer | High-volume ready-mix and mass pours | Batch size, cycle time, wear liners |
| Pan or planetary mixer | Precast elements, interlock pavers and blocks | Batch size, mixing quality for dry and coloured mixes |
| Truck mixer | Plant to site delivery | Drum capacity, chassis, water tank, drum drive |
| Self-loading mixer | Small remote pours and maintenance work | Drum volume, weighing system, terrain capability |
Plants work with the rest of the supply chain: ready-mix concrete suppliers in Saudi Arabia, concrete admixtures for hot weather, conveyor belts for aggregate handling and, at the pour, concrete pumps and vibrators.
Saudi summer conditions decide much of a batching plant's design: the plant has to deliver concrete cool enough to meet SASO's delivery advice, and its silos, belts, drives and controls must survive high ambient temperature, low humidity and wind-blown dust inland.
SASO's consumer advice on ready-mixed concrete says concrete should be used within an hour and a half of production and its temperature should not exceed 35 degrees Celsius. To meet that in July, plants rely on the cooling methods in ACI 305R-20: chilled mixing water, ice, liquid nitrogen and cooled coarse aggregate. Size water chillers and ice plants for peak output, and plan plant locations so haul times stay short.
Mobile plants in the interior need dust filters on silos, covered belts, sealed bearings and air-conditioned control cabins. On coastal sites in Jeddah, Yanbu and Dammam, humidity and saline air call for protective coatings on steel structures and corrosion-resistant electrical enclosures.
Long hauls to remote projects make retarding admixtures and drum speed control important, and truck engines and drum hydraulics need cooling packages rated for Saudi summers.
Ready-mix factories in Saudi Arabia must hold the Saudi Quality Mark, which SASO says has been mandatory since September 2019, and plants also need environmental permits, which the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) issues. Plant machinery is usually specified to international standards. We checked these points in October 2026.
| Requirement | Applies to | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Quality Mark, mandatory for factories since September 2019 | Ready-mixed concrete factories | SASO |
| Use within 90 minutes of production; concrete temperature not above 35 degrees Celsius; check the delivery note | Ready-mixed concrete delivered to site (SASO consumer advice, 2020) | SASO |
| Environmental licences and permits for facilities | Industrial facilities, including plants with dust and wastewater emissions; confirm the category for your plant | National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) |
| ISO 6085:2023+A1:2024 | Self-loading mobile concrete mixers | ISO, published by BSI |
| Product conformity and SABER shipment certificates | Imported machinery and components where a SASO regulation applies | SASO, via SABER |
EN 12151:2007, long used for batching plant safety, is listed by BSI as withdrawn since December 2018, so ask the manufacturer which standards the plant is now built to. Our guide to SASO and SABER certificates for industrial equipment in Saudi Arabia covers registration and shipment certificates for imported plant.
Saudi buyers get batching plants and mixers from authorised dealers and regional offices of the makers, heavy equipment distributors in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, and local fabricators of silos, mixer bodies and plant steelwork. Choose a supplier that can erect, commission and calibrate the plant and service it on remote sites.
Brands on ListGCC that build this equipment include Liebherr, with Betomix and Mobilmix mixing plants, ring-pan and twin-shaft mixers and truck mixers; MEKA, maker of stationary, mobile and compact batching plants and twin-shaft mixers; SANY, which offers batching plants and truck mixers; Zoomlion, whose concrete range includes mixing plants and truck mixers; and XCMG, which became majority owner of SCHWING-Stetter in 2012, the German group behind Stetter truck mixers and batching plants.

In Saudi Arabia, batching plant cost depends on capacity, cooling, mobility and certification, and lead time depends on manufacture abroad, shipping into King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam or Jeddah Islamic Port, and erection on site. No prices are quoted here.
Small site mixers are usually stocked locally; full plants and truck mixer fleets are ordered against a production slot, so fix the delivery and commissioning dates in the contract.
