Global lifting and materials-handling equipment maker
Rough-terrain lifting capability matters most on sites where paved access cannot be guaranteed, and Terex built its Saudi reputation there: an American manufacturer whose all-terrain and rough-terrain mobile cranes, tower cranes and Genie aerial work platforms serve everything from downtown building sites to oilfield plant yards across the Kingdom. Genie booms and scissor lifts cover height-access and maintenance work, while Terex's crane range handles structural lifting on industrial and commercial projects. Saudi buyers typically reach Terex equipment through regional dealers and rental companies rather than importing directly.

Terex is an American manufacturer of lifting and material-handling equipment covering mobile cranes, tower cranes and, through its Genie division, aerial work platforms. The brand is best known for its all-terrain and rough-terrain mobile cranes, built to combine strong lifting performance with the ability to travel directly across unpaved or uneven ground. Terex has restructured parts of its crane business over recent years, but its cranes and Genie access equipment remain widely used across construction and industrial sites in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Terex machines appear across both building construction fleets and heavy industrial lifting operations in the Kingdom, supported through regional dealers and rental companies that maintain the parts supply and service relationships needed to keep the equipment working through demanding site conditions.
All-terrain and rough-terrain mobile cranes anchor the Terex lifting range, with all-terrain models combining highway travel with off-road capability and rough-terrain models built to work directly on unpaved industrial and oilfield sites without needing prior access preparation.
Tower cranes extend Terex into fixed vertical lifting for multi-storey building work, covering the sustained overhead lifting duty that a mobile crane is not intended to carry for an entire construction programme.
Genie aerial work platforms, including boom lifts and scissor lifts, handle height-access tasks such as cladding, MEP installation and building maintenance, and are commonly quoted and hired separately from the crane side of the business.
Pick-and-carry cranes combine short-distance load transport with lifting in one compact unit, a configuration well suited to industrial plants and yards where a load needs to be lifted and repositioned within a tight footprint.
Construction projects across Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province use Terex mobile cranes for structural erection, precast placement and general site lifting, with rough-terrain models a common choice on sites where ground conditions are not yet fully prepared for wheeled traffic.
Oil, gas and petrochemical facilities across the Eastern Province rely on rough-terrain Terex cranes for plant maintenance and turnaround work, where the crane must operate across an unpaved plant yard rather than travel only on completed roads, a working pattern rough-terrain cranes are purpose-built for.
Genie booms and scissor lifts are widely used on Saudi building maintenance, façade and MEP fit-out work, giving technicians safe access to height without the footprint of a fixed tower crane. The Kingdom's extreme summer heat and dust make undercarriage and hydraulic-system inspection an important part of keeping any Terex machine reliable year-round.
Terex cranes and Genie access equipment are generally available in Saudi Arabia through authorised regional dealers and established rental fleets rather than direct factory import. Buyers should confirm whether a prospective supplier is an authorised Terex or Genie dealer with genuine parts access, as opposed to a general trader without that direct relationship, before committing to a purchase or extended rental.
Lead times differ by equipment and route: Genie booms and scissor lifts are frequently available from rental fleets at short notice, while a specific rough-terrain crane configuration or a new tower crane order can carry longer factory and shipping lead times. Buyers should check load charts, undercarriage specification and any relevant SASO / Saber documentation against project requirements before finalising an order.
Rather than contacting dealers and rental houses one by one, buyers can submit a single enquiry through ListGCC and receive quotes from multiple verified Terex and Genie suppliers across Saudi Arabia, making it easier to compare pricing, availability and technical fit for a specific crane or access equipment requirement. Verified badges help procurement and site teams shortlist credible suppliers before moving into detailed technical review.
