Global specialist in torque tightening and measurement
Torque wrenches that can't produce a calibration certificate are a non-starter on most Saudi oil, gas and power projects, where every bolted joint on a pressure system needs a documented, repeatable tightening record. Norbar, a UK manufacturer that makes nothing but torque control equipment, covers that need with click and electronic wrenches, torque multipliers, PneuTorque powered systems and calibration instruments. The brand is established across Saudi refineries and heavy engineering sites, typically supplied through specialist bolting distributors, and ListGCC helps Saudi buyers compare quotes from several at once.

Norbar Torque Tools is a UK manufacturer that makes only one category of product: equipment for controlling and measuring torque. That narrow focus runs through everything the brand builds, from mechanical click wrenches to electronic torque tools and powered hydraulic bolting systems, all designed around accuracy, repeatability and traceable calibration rather than general-purpose tool versatility. Industries that cannot tolerate an incorrectly tightened bolt, including aerospace, rail, power generation and heavy engineering, have made Norbar a standard reference point for torque control. In Saudi Arabia, the brand's presence is concentrated in oil, gas, petrochemical and power projects, where documented torque traceability is typically a project QA requirement rather than an optional extra.
Norbar's click and electronic torque wrenches form the base of the range, hand tools used to reach and confirm set torque values on flange, structural and mechanical bolting. When required torque exceeds what a hand wrench can safely apply, Norbar's torque multipliers use internal gearing to scale up input force without moving to powered tooling. For higher-volume or higher-torque bolting work, the PneuTorque powered wrench range is built for large flange assemblies and heavy structural connections where manual tightening isn't practical. Norbar also produces dedicated torque measurement instruments for checking and calibrating other torque tools, plus wider bolting and calibration systems that plant engineering teams use to maintain an auditable calibration record across their equipment.
Saudi Arabia's oil, gas and petrochemical sector is Norbar's primary market in the Kingdom, driven by the need for accurate, repeatable flange bolting on pressure-bearing joints where an incorrect torque value risks a leak or process failure. Norbar's hand and powered torque wrenches are commonly used during refinery turnarounds, pipeline construction and structural steel bolting, while torque multipliers handle large-diameter flanges and heavy machinery mounting bolts that exceed practical hand-wrench limits. Power generation and desalination facilities across the Kingdom, particularly in the Eastern Province, represent a further steady source of demand given the volume of scheduled bolted-joint maintenance these plants require. Extended exposure to high ambient temperatures can affect calibration drift on torque tools over time, so Saudi plant engineering teams generally schedule periodic recalibration rather than treating it as optional. Buyers can compare Norbar against other torque brands via the torque wrenches category on ListGCC, or look specifically at powered options through the hydraulic torque wrenches category.
Norbar reaches the Saudi market chiefly through specialist bolting and calibration distributors rather than general industrial suppliers, a reflection of the technical, QA-driven nature of its typical buyer. It's worth confirming whether a supplier holds authorised Norbar distributor status, since this affects access to genuine calibration services, spare parts and technical support for powered PneuTorque equipment. Because Norbar tools are frequently specified against project QA documentation, buyers should confirm lead times for specific wrench or multiplier models early in the procurement process, especially where equipment is tied to a fixed shutdown or turnaround window. Saudi buyers procuring for regulated industrial projects should also confirm SASO and Saber conformity documentation status with their distributor, along with calibration certificate traceability for the specific equipment ordered.
Procuring calibrated torque equipment against a fixed turnaround date usually means weighing lead time and technical support just as heavily as price. ListGCC lets Saudi buyers request quotes from multiple Norbar distributors through a single enquiry, making it easier to compare pricing, stock and calibration service options without approaching each supplier separately. Verified supplier badges give buyers an early signal of which distributors have an established trading record on the platform, which matters when the equipment being sourced is tied to project QA sign-off. For plant engineering and procurement teams working against a maintenance window, comparing several Norbar quotes at once is generally the most reliable way to secure both calibration-traceable equipment and a realistic delivery date.
