Goulds API and industrial process pumps
ITT Goulds Pumps has supplied centrifugal process pumps to oil and gas, chemical, mining and power markets since the early twentieth century, and its API 610 and ANSI 3196 lines remain common on Saudi refinery, petrochemical and industrial specifications today. Backed by ITT's PRO Services aftermarket programme, the brand is valued for rugged, interchangeable pump designs that keep spare-parts sourcing manageable over the life of a plant. Saudi buyers typically source Goulds pumps through regional distributors rather than direct import from the manufacturer.

ITT Goulds Pumps has been manufacturing centrifugal pumps in the United States for more than a century and now operates within ITT Industrial Process, a global engineering group covering oil and gas, chemical, mining, power and general industrial markets. Rather than redesigning its core products every few years, Goulds has kept several of its main pump platforms dimensionally consistent over long production runs, so a pump bought decades ago can often still be matched to current spare parts.
The brand pairs that mechanical continuity with PRO Services, ITT's aftermarket and monitoring programme for keeping process pumps running between planned outages. For Saudi engineering and procurement teams working to demanding uptime targets, that combination of proven hydraulics and organised aftermarket support is a recurring reason Goulds appears on process pump specifications.
The API 610 3600 between-bearings pump supports the impeller shaft on both sides, a configuration typically called up where high heads, elevated temperatures or continuous hydrocarbon duty demand extra shaft stability and reliability.
The 3700 overhung API pump uses a single bearing housing and suits a wider band of process services where the heavier 3600 design is not required by the duty point or specification.
The 3196 ANSI process pump follows ANSI/ASME dimensional standards, which is one reason it has become one of the most widely installed process pumps across chemical, water and general industrial plants, since replacement pumps can often be fitted to an existing baseplate without a full piping redesign.
Goulds also offers vertical and slurry pumps for sump, wet-well and solids-handling duties, alongside PRO Services aftermarket support covering spare parts, repairs and condition monitoring for pumps already installed on site.
Saudi Arabia's refining, petrochemical and gas-processing base is the natural home for API 610 process pumps, and the Kingdom's high ambient temperatures make correctly rated bearings, seals and cooling arrangements a standing design consideration on the 3600 and 3700 ranges. The 3196 ANSI pump extends into the broader chemical and water-handling base that supports those larger hydrocarbon complexes.
Groundwater and process water across much of the Kingdom carries sulphate and chloride content that affects wetted-part material choice, so buyers sourcing pumps for produced-water, cooling-water or general process duty should confirm metallurgy against actual fluid analysis with their supplier. Vertical and slurry pump variants find use in dewatering, mining-adjacent operations and the infrastructure and construction activity tied to the Kingdom's giga-projects. Engineers scoping a hydrocarbon pump requirement can compare Goulds with other manufacturers in the API process pumps category on ListGCC.
Goulds pumps and genuine spares in Saudi Arabia are generally available through authorised regional distributors linked to ITT's service network, rather than solely through independent traders. Buyers should ask a prospective supplier to demonstrate that link, since parts sourced outside authorised channels can carry uncertain provenance for critical rotating equipment.
Lead times differ by product line: standard 3196 ANSI pumps and common spares can often be sourced from regional stock, while a 3600 or 3700 API pump engineered to a specific duty point typically involves factory quotation, manufacture and witnessed testing that can extend delivery by several weeks or more. Buyers should confirm SASO / Saber documentation where it applies, the relevant API 610 edition, materials of construction and seal arrangement against the project specification before ordering.
Instead of contacting distributors individually, buyers can submit one enquiry through ListGCC and receive quotes from multiple verified ITT Goulds Pumps suppliers across Saudi Arabia, simplifying comparison of pricing, lead time and technical fit for a given pump duty. Verified badges help engineering and procurement teams shortlist credible suppliers before detailed technical review begins.
